It will be up to a special prosecutor and not a grand jury to decide whether to file charges in the death of Trayvon Martin. Prosecutor Angela Corey said she won’t take the case to the grand jury. Under Florida law, that only has to happen if it occurs first-degree murder case.

Two Oklahoma men being held on suspicion of three murders have had their bonds set at more than $9 million each. They haven’t been formally charged yet. Two white men are suspected in the killings that terrorized Tulsa’s African American community.

The violence in Syria has spilled across two borders into Lebanon and Turkey. At least five people in a refugee camp in Turkey were wounded. Authorities say the cause was a bullet fired across border by Syrian forces.

And Facebook is making its biggest-ever purchase. It’s spending a billion dollars to buy the photo-sharing software company Instagram.
