A Navy fighter jet crashed into an apartment complex in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Smoke were seen billowing from several buildings. The two-member crew on board ejected safely.

The White House is warning of ups and downs in the job market after March’s employment numbers were released today. The economy added just 120,000 jobs last month, down from the three previous months.

Police say they’ve found the gun they believe was used in the deadly shooting rampage at a California College. The semiautomatic handgun was located in shallow water about a half-mile from Oikos University.

The U.S. Coast Guard sank a ghost ship from Japan before it could reach the U.S. West Coast. The ship has been floating across the Pacific since the tsunami set it loose last year.
