2012年3月24日，Pepsi MAX发布了2012全新一期的百事音乐广告Kick in the mix（广告视频在湖南卫视《天天向上》栏目全球首发）。

这一集的足球巨星包括三冠王巴萨球星梅西（Lionel Messi），三获英超冠军的切尔西主力中锋德罗巴（Didier Drogba），西班牙足球金童托雷斯（Fernando Torres），英格兰国家队队长兰帕德（Frank Lampard）， 曼城前锋阿奎罗（Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero ）及兵工厂阿森纳妖童威尔希尔（Jack Wilshere）。有趣的是，除了效力西甲的梅西，其他五位巨星均出自英超联赛。

国际知名DJ、当红音乐制作人Calvin Harris 负责这一期广告的音乐。在广告中，他专门为百事可乐足球巨星量身打造的音乐，使得足球运动的速度和节奏与充满能量、热情和音乐节奏相结合，足球与音乐的完美融入。

Lionel Messi, who is now in his fifth year as a Pepsi MAX athlete said, “Pepsi has always been at the centre of pop-culture. Fusing the game of football with music at a time when dance music is so popular is really exciting. Music is a big part of the game and fan experience, so it feels very natural to bring them together.”

Wilshere commented: “Being part of the Pepsi football line-up for the first time is fantastic. I remember watching the Pepsi ads over the years and seeing the legendary names that have been part of Pepsi’s football history, so starring in the 2012 campaign is really exciting for me.”
