【小题大做】

美语很流行的口语说法是 "Drama" (drama 在字典里是戏剧的意思）。

你们一定在美剧里听过好几遍，比如：

So much drama 好多小题大做的事啊。

Don't start drama with me 不要跟我小题大做。

I hate drama / I hate drama queens 我讨厌小题大做的人。

There's a lot of drama at my school!

【小事】

"Piece of Cake" 是个很普遍的“小事情”口语说法。

跟中文里回复”小事“的用法一样 A: Can you do it 你做的到吗？B: Piece of cake 小事！Learning English is a piece of cake 呵呵。很地道的简说是 "Cake" （一般都是年轻人说的）：Learning English is cake。That was cake 那件事好容易。

【为时过早】

美国的一个俚语："Jump the Gun"，意思是过早行动。来至赛跑枪未响先的时候先跑，比如：

Liu Xiang jumped the gun。

俚语用法：

Wait for me, don't jump the gun 等等我，不要过早行动。

Are you jumping the gun again? I told you to be patient 你又操之过急了？我跟你说过了，要耐心。
