We are discussing how to have a successful interview. One of the main points of having an interview is so that you can put your skills and your experience in front of a potential employer. You want to be prepared, you want to know your, you want to know the facts and details of the position of the company, and you want to be obviously very familiar with your own past work experience.

Do not go with one word answers. They're giving you an open-ended discussion. Take advantage of it. You obviously don't want to come off as too arrogant, but let them know what your skills are. Let them know why you're interested. Your enthusiasm is going to create a sense of urgency on the employer's side, and they're not going to want to let you go.
