Senior party leaders and party members attended a grand ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in central Beijing this morning. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Hu Jintao called on the entire party to carry out the central task of economic development and improve people's well-being. Pan Dong with this report. A day of honor. Singing the national anthem, CPC members held the celebration for the 90th anniversary. Recalling the struggle, they are determined to cherish the older generation's contribution and make further efforts. At the ceremony, outstanding CPC grassroots units, members and Party workers have also been commended. Leaders appreciated their hard work for the people and society, and encouraged them to continue their endeavors. Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a keynote speech. He said the CPC has made remarkable achievements which reshaped the destiny of the Chinese people and Chinese nation.
