Eight block-busting Harry Potter films might have brought magic to the mainstream, but behind the world of wizardry lies meticulous planning. Today we visit the people who put the spell on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2".

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2", the epic finale in the film series, sees the battle between good and evil escalate into all-out war. But from the get-go, this full-scale adventure threw up a few creative challenges.

Warwick Davies, who fans will recognize as Professor Filtwick and Griphook, was also in charge of recruiting 60 new goblins for the film.

Warwick Davies, Actor, said, "Well apart from being an actor in this film, I'm also an agent in the fact that I represent the 60 goblin actors that we have on the film. The producers came to me at the beginning of the production and said we need 60 people for Gringotts this time. Um, I said' OK, I'll sort you out'.' They’ve all got to be under 4’4".’ I said 'OK.So it's gonna be tricky, 60 is a lot of people, one of the largest gatherings of short actors for a film."

The final role call included actors flown in from Sweden and France. But the obstacles didn’t stop there. Nick Dudman, Creative Effects Supervisor, was charged with making each individual goblin look different.

Nick Dudman, Creative Effects Supervisor, said, "What we said we’d do is we’d try to take some of the features of each person, and goblinize them. Because you can have great ideas but once you’ve sculpted ten of the damn things, you are beginning to run out of ideas, and generating a new, interesting character each time gets harder and harder."

The scenes might look seamless, but before the cameras started rolling, each movement was planned out digitally.

Tim Burke, Visual Effects Supervisor, said, "So before we even come to shoot the sequences, we do these animations, and we work out the storytelling and what’s gonna happen. This, this is a little section from the final battle, where you can see, erm, the Death Eaters are attacking the school using a bombardment."

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" on Blu-ray and DVD will be released in the U.K. on December 2nd.
