A 2-year-old Chinese girl left unattended fell ten stories from her family's apartment window. State media say she survived after being caught by a woman passing by. The toddler was in critical condition Sunday.

Prince William and Kate faced more protests by French-speaking separatists after arriving in Quebec City. The newlyweds are on the fourth day of a nine-day trip to Canada. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge encountered small but vocal protests in Montreal, after being cheered by tens of thousands the previous day in Ottawa.
