Ratko Mladic has refused to enter pleas at his arraignment at a U.N. courtroom in the Netherlands. Mladic is accused of orchestrating the worst atrocities of a war that claimed 100-thousand lives. Mladic told the court he was defending his people and his country during the Bosnian war.

Residents along Missouri River in South Dakota are hoping sandbags and levees hold back rising flood waters. But most aren't waiting around to see if they actually do, as low-lying areas of Pierre and Fort Pierre have emptied before the planned release of water from upstream dams.

Police say a shooting rampage in Arizona has left six people dead, including the suspect, 73-year-old Carey Hal Dyess. One of the victims was an attorney who represented Dyess’ ex-wife in their 2006 divorce. Police say Dyess also wounded one person in the shootings, before he was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

You can call this Ohio woman a loyal bank customer. June Gregg still has the same savings account her father opened for her in 1913 when she was two years old. The bank helped Gregg celebrate her 100th birthday on Thursday.
