Penelope Cruz will be playing the daughter of Johnny Depp’s nemesis in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment of the franchise. “She plays the daughter of Blackbeard,” executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV. “She’s the daughter of the bad guy. She brings a lot of humor to it. And the fact that she’s so feisty. [There will be] a little romance between [Depp's] Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays.”

For nearly three decades Zimmer has composed music for over 100 films including some critically acclaimed film scores, such as The Lion King, Gladiator, and The Dark Knight. Some of his recent compositions for motion pictures are Sherlock Holmes (2009), Inception (2010), Megamind (2010), Rango (2011), and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011).

The last time we saw Pirates was in in June of 2007, when Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End was released in China. In the pre-3D era here and without the benefit of a lead-in from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which was banned for its supernatural themes, Pirates 3 still grossed over 120 million yuan (about $18.3 million today). It has been almost four yeas since the last the Pirates of the Caribbean was released, we have waited for too long...

全新IMAX 3D版
The fourth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean series will be presented in Disney Digital 3-D and IMAX 3D, as well as in traditional two-dimensional and IMAX formats. It will be the first Pirates of the Caribbean film to be released in 3D and Jerry Bruckheimer's second 3D film, following the 2009 movie G-Force.
《加勒比海盗》系列的第四部将以数字3D、IMAX 3D、以及传统二维形式展现。这将是该系列中第一步3D电影，同时也是导演Jerry Bruckheimer继2009年的《豚鼠特工队》之后的第二部3D电影。
