这两个名词均含“复杂”之意。
complexity : 着重指极度复杂而难于辨认的关系。
It is difficult to convey the sheer complexity of the situation.（很难说清楚形势究竟有多复杂。）
complication : 指纷乱复杂到令人难于理解的地步。
The car ran out of petrol, and as a further complication I had no money!（汽车没油了, 更麻烦的是我身上没有钱！）
compound, mixture
这两个名词均有“复合物”之意。
compound : 指由两种或两种以上的物质结合在一起，发生化学变化而成的复合物、化学物。
When two or more elements combine and form a compound, a chemical change takes place.（当两种或两种以上的元素结合形成化合物时, 发生化学变化。）
mixture : 指把多种东西混合在一起，组成的东西未起化学变化。
She is mixing the mixture of flour and water.（她正在搅和面粉与水的混合物。）
