【原句】Reality is temporary while ideals are permanent.
【解说】temporary 暂时的，permanent 永久的，例如：temporary accommodation 临时性住所，permanent accommodation 永久性住所。

【原句】The poor turnout for the election will hopefully be a wake-up call to the government.
【解说】wake-up call 叫人起床的电话，引伸为（让人意识到问题或不利处境的）唤醒警告。
