Moving to Colombia, where nine workers were killed at two small coal mines, when gases ignited and caused cave-ins.

The twin incidents occurred in separate parts of rural central Colombia. A local police commander says the mine explosion in the town of Guacheta was accidental, and was caused by an accumulation of gases.

Authorities have confirmed that seven people died in the incident, while two others were killed in a separate accident in a different town. In June, an explosion killed around 70 coal miners, in one of Colombia's worst mining disasters.
