1. focus 

focus的名词含义就是“中心,焦点”,作动词就表示(使)集中目光;(使)逐渐聚焦

When the kitchen is finished I'm going to focus my attention on the back yard and get that straightened out.
等厨房弄完,我会集中精力把花园整理干净。

The noise made it hard for me to focus on work.
噪音让我无法集中注意力工作。

2. concentrate

concentrate的最常见意思就是“专注,专心;全神贯注”。

I'm going to concentrate on my writing for a while.
我要专心写作一会儿。

3. absorb

它的本义是指吸收液体、气体、光、热等等,也指吸收抽象的知识、文化、经验、教训、思想、方法等。

4. immerse

5. rapt

这是个形容词,就是“专心致志的;全神贯注的;全身心投入的”的意思。

6. engross

这是个动词,表示“使全神贯注;独占”,常与in搭配。

She was engrossed in painting.
