Stage Fright!
How would you handle your fear of performing in front of other?

Part1

Part2

Julia really enjoys being on her school's dance team. She's not the most talented dancer, but she works hard. She spends hours at home practicing the dances.

The team's first performance is coming up soon. Julia is getting really nervous. She doesn't think she's good enough to dance in front of an audience. Sometimes at night, she dreams about the performance. And in her dreams, she always makes mistakes! Julia is afraid she will embarrass herself and the whole team.

Julia loves to dance, and she loves her team. But she’s not sure if she can overcome her stage fright and dance well.
If you were Julia, what would you do?
Decision 1
(Julia talks to her older brother, Albert.)
Julia: Maybe I should just quit the team.
Albert: But you love to dance!
Julia: I do. But I don't know if I can dance in front of hundreds of people!
Albert: They'll enjoy watching you.
Julia: Not if I make mistakes! What if I fall in front of all those people?
Albert: That won't happen!
Julia: It could! And if it does, I'll ruin the whole performance!
Albert: You're really scared, aren't you?
Julia: yes. I think I should quit the team.
Albert: But you committed yourself to the team for the whole year.
Julia: I know. And I hate to quit. But I think I should. The team will be better off without me!
