Taj Mahal.

It has been said that the Taj Mahal is within more measurable distance of perfection than any other work of man. Designed by a council of architects from India, Persia, Central Asia and beyond, its construction was ordered by mogul emporer Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved wife, Arjuman Banu Begum. Master builders, masons, inlayers and calligraphers were gathered along with precious materials throughout India, as more than 20,000 workmen toiled daily for 22 years to complete it. Today in the town of Agra, artists use the same tools and intricate methods of workmanship originally employed in the seventeenth century to adorn the Taj Mahal. Clearly, one of the finest architectural jewels the world has ever seen.
