The suspect in the botched Time Square bombing makes his first appearance in court. Faisal Shahzad is facing five felony charges related to the May 1st botched bombing.

The Secretary of the Interior says the federal government shares the blame in the Gulf Coast oil spill. He says his department has been lax in holding industry accountable. Meantime, federal regulators have expanded no-fishing zone in the Gulf to nearly triple to the size.

The Taliban has taken credit for a suicide bombing that killed five American troops and one Canadian in Afghanistan. The blast killed a total of 18 people and injured dozens more. It's the deadliest attack against NATO in the Afghan capital this year.
