Ninety-seven people died Saturday in the crash of a chartered plane carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski to Smolensk, Russian officials said.

俄罗斯官员宣布，星期六共有97人在波兰总统（Lech Kaczynski）去往斯摩棱斯克的专机失事事件中遇难。

Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu, who was at the site of the tragedy, said 97 bodies would be placed in coffins and taken to Moscow's Domodedovo airport.

俄罗斯紧急情况部部长绍伊古在坠机事件现场说，97具尸体将被放置于棺木中带到莫斯科的莫杰多沃国际机场。

"The bodies of those who died will be delivered to Moscow for identification," he said.

“所有遇难者的遗体将运往莫斯科加以识别辨认，”他说。

It was earlier reported that 96 people, including 88 belonging to the Polish delegation to the Katyan ceremony and 8 crew members, were killed in the crash.

Both "black boxes have been found and examination on them have begun," Shoigu said.

“失事飞机上的两个黑匣子已经找到，目前俄方已经开始分析鉴定黑匣子记录下的相关资料和数据。”绍伊古说。

The Russian Prosecutor General's investigations committee has opened an investigation into the crash.

Pilot error is suspected as a cause in the crash Saturday in western Russia of the plane carrying President Lech Kaczynski and other top Polish officials, Russian news agencies reported. There were no survivors.
