四、媒体、广告类
媒体广告是我们生活必不可少的元素，当然也就成了雅思的又一热门考题。此类别下的题目种类繁多，朗阁海外考试研究中心在此仅举两例作简要说明。
GROUP ONE:
【真题实例】:
写作：The high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising but not the real need of the society where such products are sold. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
口语：What are the advantages and disadvantages of advertising?
Do people usually buy goods after watching advertisements?
What forms do advertisements take? (Part 3 questions)
【指点迷津】: 写作中关于广告优缺点讨论的题目有很多，我们在此给出的例子没有直接这么问，但是本质上而言还是近乎一样。在讨论广告是否决定物品销售时其实就是在回答以上所列的口语问题的第二个，即人们会不会因为看了广告而去买东西。而口语的第三个问题需要用到的一些词汇可以从写作中积累，如：海报广告（poster），广告牌（billboard），传单（flyer）。
GROUP TWO:

写作： Surveys show that more people get the news by watching television than by reading the newspaper. Do you think TV news shows are adequate as a person's only source of news?
口语：Which way is more favorable for people in your country to get information? From TV or newspapers?

五、政府、社会类
此类话题包括政府投资（艺术、博物馆、科研项目等），国际合作，贫富差距，城市发展，弱势群体（老人、妇女、小孩）。

写作：These days, it seems that an increasing number of people are leaving rural areas to live in the city. Discuss some of the effects of rural depopulation (migration from the country to the city) and suggest some ways in which this trend could be reversed.
口语：Which do you prefer? Living in the city or in the countryside?
Describe a city you would like to move to.
You should say:
where this city is
what is special about it
when you would like to move there
and explain why you choose this city rather than others.
