《我们的生活》讲述一群不同的人，他们其中一些人的共同点就是同一天生日，他们的生活故事以有趣的方式交叉在一起。在S01E04中，凯文和兰德尔又在争吵，兰德尔把凯文手里的魔方一把抢走了，家里的空调坏了，杰克修不好打算带几个孩子去游泳池度过炎热的一天，游泳池里人满为患不过几个孩子还是很开心，杰克看到一个空椅子奋力一跳飞奔过去打算把它收入囊中。我们一家人躺在椅子上的画面很温馨，在泳池游玩的时候放的背景音乐是《Some Day Soon》。

这首歌出自民谣诗人Alexi  Murdoch，唱了多年的英式民谣之后，开始受到Indie和Lo-Fi等音乐元素的影响。他最初只是在小型的音乐聚会上演唱。直到2003年九月，他的演出通过洛杉矶一家之声播出，他那温柔、迟疑的嗓音和轻描淡写般的吉他在听众中造成了巨大的反响。
