Brad Pitt, 48, may be known for his dramatic and suspenseful roles, such as John Smith in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but underneath he’s just a big softie.

Pitt posed as Bob Marley, James Dean and a series of other characters, including a retro Hollywood actor for the magazine’s photo shoot.

The Hollywood heartthrob — who has six children within the Pitt-Jolie clan — explained the importance of family and the image of his legacy in a recent dialogue with Interview magazine.

Discussing upcoming movie roles, Pitt gushed, “I want it to be worthy enough of a story to leave the family, you know? They’re everything… The family is first… I don’t want to embarrass them.”

Though, he still feels “pretty damn solid” about his acting career — including his upcoming role as a hitman in Killing Them Softly, releasing to theaters on Nov. 30.

Pitt and Jolie finally locked in their relationship with a ring back in April, but the two are still waiting to be wed. With more family awareness, it sure sounds like the bells will be chiming soon.”
