05月28日：They go back a long way.他们认识很久了。

back：回去，追溯
例如：I have forgotten my bag, so I must go back for it.（我忘了我的袋子，所以必须回去拿。）
          In order to understand the man we will have to go back to an earlier day.（要懂得这个人，我们还得追溯到一个较早的时间。）
2.a long way：远道；一段长路
例如：Don't be above yourself. You still have a long way to go.（不要得意忘形，你还有很长的路要走。）
          I came a long way mainly because I am ambitious.（我进步大主要是因为我有决心。）

05月29日：You are very photogenic.你非常上镜。

enic：adj. 上镜的，适于摄影的，由光导致的
例如：Well, I do not consider myself photogenic.（呃，我不认为自己很上相。）
          I've got a million photos of my boy. He's very photogenic.（我给儿子拍了好多照片，他非常上镜。）

05月30日：You always give people the cold shoulder.你总是对人不理不睬。

1.cold shoulder：冷遇，冷淡对待
例如：We got a cold shoulder from the older members of the club.（我们受到俱乐部老会员们的冷眼相待。）
          He will not turn the cold shoulder on me when I am in trouble.（他不会在我困难时疏远我。）

05月31日：Do you want a rematch?要不要再赛一盘？

1.rematch：n. 复赛，重赛，再匹配
例如：Duff said he would be demanding a rematch.（达夫说他将要求重赛。）
          The debate this week was a rematch of last year's.（这个星期的辩论还是在去年的两个对手之间进行。）

06月01日：I can’t say for certain off-hand.我还不能马上说定。

for certain：打包票
例如：I can not say for certain what to do.（我说不准该做什么。）
          No one can say for certain that the method will soon be found.（没有人能肯定说方法会很快找到。）
-hand：立即，当即；不客气的
例如：I don't know the figures off-hand.（我不能马上知道那些数字。）
          She was off-hand with him.（她对他傲慢无礼。）

1.tune in：收听，调谐，使…协调
例如：We always tune in at ten o'clock to hear the news.（我们总是在10点钟收听新闻。）
          Guitar plays in tune with piano.（吉他与钢琴合奏很协调。）

06月03日：It’s no use taking such herbal medicines.吃这些中药没什么用处。

use：没用的，白搭，无济于事
例如：It' s no use crying over spilt milk.（事已如此，后悔也没有用了。）
          It's no use to hide. He has spilled the beans already.（隐瞒是没有用的，他早已泄漏了秘密。）
