剧情简介：8年级即将开学之际，Alison等五个女生在外面胡闹了一夜，Alison与Spencer发生了激烈争吵。第二天，Alison神秘失踪，这个小圈子瞬间土崩瓦解。
一年后，她的四位好友Spencer，Hannah，Aria和Emily都突然收到一条署名为「A」的神秘短信。「A」威胁说要揭发这四位美少女的秘密，包括她们隐藏了很久的、只有Alison才知道的秘密。尔后，警察在Alison以前的后院里找到了Alison的尸体，但是神秘的「A」始终是个谜。
神秘的「A」下一步计划如何，四个女生又将如何应对这一系列的事件，是携手互助还是继续勾心斗角？
