1. - Why did we pull over?

- For your information, being a stay-at-home mom is my job! But apparently, today, I’m pretty crappy at it!

He pulled over and went to the convenience store.

This brochure is just for your information.

Let’s get some cool drinks. It’s pretty hot outside.

We just went to a crappy restaurant.

2. If you keep doing whatever it takes to get rich, this is where you’re going to wind up.

She is persuading his son to be a nice man in case he would wind up in prison.

Living with my friends who love sports, I wind up with similar exercise habits.

3. Oliver, I don’t care what anyone else says, she’s not out of your league.

“out of your league”字面理解是“不和你在一个社团里”,引申为“自不量力,配不上”。

Don’t be silly. She’s out of your league.

Learning languages is easy but maths is out of my league.

4.Steal her flags and knock her out of the race.

Notes:“knock somebody out of something”

I will knock you out of the running no matter what it takes.

5. Why are you so obsessed with Viv?

My daughter is obsessed with reading these days.

Please do not be obsessed with that guy. He’s such a mean person.
