8. Is that one of the reasons you’ve got the BC certificates?
这是不是就是贵校能获得BC省教育部认证的原因？

The BC certificate is granted every year. We actually have a team of inspectors come out of the BC government. They go through everything. They look at all over materials, look at teaching materials, going to classrooms and make sure all our records are intact, all our student records, teacher records, everyone of our teachers are certified. They make sure that what the teachers are teaching at the classroom is what it supposed to be taught according to the curriculum. They go through the financial part, everything. If they are satisfied, they say “ok, you’re certified.”
BC省教育部的认证是每年都要进行的。来自BC省教育部的专家组会检查所有的东西，他们会看所有的资料，教学资料，学生记录，教师记录，还要确保每位老师都是有资质的，以及他们的教学内容都是符合教学设置的。他们还会检查经济方面，总之，他们检查一切。如果他们觉得满意，那么他们就给你颁发认证。

So basically we can say your school is exactly the same as back in Canada.
所以，贵校和在加拿大的学校应该是一样的，对吧？

Yes. In fact, last year marks very good and we have last inspection last year. We were told by who is now the chief inspector of all the independent schools and off-shore schools. When we talk about independent schools, I mean all the private and catholic schools back in British Cambridge which probably number is about 700. And he told us “you are a top school. You provide a best experience, a Canadian experience for Chinese students, any school will visit it.”

9. One more question is about students. You talk about students of your school, most of them are going apply for English-speaking countries colleges. So sign a Canada school provide them some helps?
再问一个关于学生的问题。贵校的学生大多数都会申请去英语国家的大学，那么对于申请去加拿大的学生，你们会提供什么样的帮助呢？

We have overseas partner which help them with the visa process and university application. And this year the guidance counselor who’s the Canadian.
我们有海外的合作伙伴帮助我们的学生了解签证流程和申请大学的情况。而今年的指导正好是加拿大人。

So they concern “this is my interest”, “this is what I should head in”, “this is the thing that I would like to do”, and “this is the top university that best suits me” and it may even be a college. In China, universities are in rank. Back in America, we don’t rank very much. When you do your first degree which is your bachelors, all of universities, public funded, basically are the same because they get money from the government, standards are set. It’s when you are going to second and third degree, they need to take look at whether university spends budget research. So if you wanna go to computer science, you can go to University Waterloo; if you want to study liquid physics, Mc Gill University is in schedule. It depends what you want to do. So we help the students in that way.
学生们要思考的是，“这是我的兴趣”，“这是我应该做的”，“这是我想要做的”，“这是最适合我的大学”，而且这所学校可能只是一个学院而已。在中国，大学都是要排名的，而在美国，就不那么重视排名。当你修第一个学位的时候，也就是修学士学位的时候，所有公立的大学都差不多，因为他们都是从政府拿钱，他们就要按照规定的要求去做。当你修第二个或第三个学位时，你就需要考虑该校是否有研究经费。如果你想学的是计算机科学，那么你应该选择滑铁卢大学；如果你想学物理，就应该去麦吉尔大学，这与你想要学习的内容有关。我们在这方面会给学生一些帮助。

Most of Chinese families, I believe, have some thing for the rank of university. And I guess it’s a really good advance.
大多数中国的家庭还是比较在意大学的排名，贵校的这种做法真的很不错。

And we take that in consideration because we also know that’s very cultural thing. We understand that.
