本期我们一起来学习两个词组：care for和in full。

care for

care for在这里表示“关心、照顾”。比如我们可以说：

Mary cares for her little sister very much. She always makes lovely little toys for her to make her happy.
玛丽很关心她的小妹妹，她总是为妹妹做可爱的小玩意来逗她开心。

Chinese authorities are trying to educate the youth about the need to care for their parents.
中国政府正努力教育年轻人明白关爱、赡养父母的必要性。

care for还可以表示“喜爱”，例如 ：

I don't care for green. I like red.
我对绿色不感冒，我喜欢红色。

He didn't care for anything about Europe.
他一点也不喜欢欧洲。

第三种用法表示“想要”：

Would you care for some more tea?
你是不是还想要点茶?

in full

in full表示“完全地，彻底地”，常用在句末做状语。如：

I paid the bill in full.
我付清了账单。

name in full是“全名”的意思。

意思相近的词组还有in whole，表示“完全地、全部地、整个地”，例如：

Therefore, these models are validated as predictive -- either in part or in whole.
因此，这些模型被确认具有可预测性——部分地或全部地。

相应地，in part可以表示“部分地、不完全地”：

I agree with you in part.
在一定程度上，我同意你的观点。
