2005年，在一次国际会议上，得到几份OECD（经济合作和发展组织）的中国研究报告，分别是：OECD Economic Surveys: China; China in the Global Economy: Governance in China; China in the World Economy: The Domestic Policy Challenges（这些文件在网上可以找到）。内容共计1500页。由于是外国人谈中国的事，报告中使用的表达方法，对于汉译英有很好的借鉴意义。于是，我分别于2006年和2009年两次组织学生，搜集、整理文件中的表达方法，提供中文翻译，最后得到词条5000条。
