一代车神舒马赫本赛季结束将再次退役。

Does every story have to end? In 2006, the seven-time world champion (冠军) Michael Schumacher (迈克尔•舒马赫) said goodbye to Formula One (F1, 一级方程式). In 2010, he returned back to the speedway, and everybody was very happy and excited to see him back. But now, Schumacher decided to end his F1 career again!故事结束了吗？

“Although I am still able to compete with the best drivers, at some point it is good to say goodbye,” said Schumacher. “During the past month, I was not sure if I still had the energy and passion to go on my F1 career. That’s why I want to leave.”

Since Schumacher came back to F1 with Mercedes (梅赛德斯) in 2010, he had just one podium finish (登上领奖台) in three seasons. He said, “I have learned that losing can be both more difficult and more instructive (有益的) than winning.”

Although Schumacher is going to retire at the end of the season, Mercedes team principal (车队经理) Ross Brawn may still offer a position for him with the German manufacturer (制造商). “We would like him to help us on the racing car,” said Brawn.

About Schumacher

Schumacher won 91 races in 19 seasons. He won his first World Championship with Benetton (贝纳通) in 1994 and won the title again the following year, before leaving for Ferrari (法拉利). He won five   straight   titles between 2000 and 2004, before retiring for a first time in 2006.
