第九集后半段中，尔淳和徐公公继续谋划将来的计划，由于玉莹愈发得到如妃赏识，尔淳急着将功补过想对玉莹下手，而徐公公却另有打算。

尔淳：尔淳注意到，自从封为答应之后，玉莹更加得到如妃娘娘的照顾，我怕日子一长，就更难离间她们之间的感情。
英文字幕：I've noticed Madam Yue has taken Yuk-ying under her wing especially after she's been selected. I'm afraid the longer we wait the harder it will be to get between them.

知识点1：
离间感情：get/come between them，处于两人中间，能做什么事呢？肯定不是好事！这个短语看起来很简单，却是很形象的表述，在美剧和电影中也经常能听到，很native speaker的感觉呢~

挑拨离间其实还有一句英文谚语：cast in a bone between sb:
eg1.By this means she cast in a bone between the wife and husband.
她用这种手段离间这对夫妻。 （小三！）

徐公公：我也知道你很着急想为往日的事将功补过，不过事情不发生也发生了，在这个时候不要放在心里。风沙又起了，你回去吧。
英文字幕：I know you're anxious to right the wrong, but bygones are bygones. Do not keep reminding yourself of it. The sandstorms are due, hurry back!

知识点2：
right the wrong，第一眼看是不是有点头晕涅，又是right又是wrong的。其实“right”也能做动词使用：correct itself/sth 纠正或改正某事物。

eg2.The fault will right itself if you give it time.
只要过一些时候，这个毛病就能自行更正了。

将功补过——right the wrong，很惊艳的翻译，学习了^^

风沙又起：the sandstorms are due，这里我们来研究研究due这个单词：due for sth--应有，应得到；due to do sth--预计，预期；due to sb--由某人引起。

eg3.She's due for promotion soon.
她不久就要晋升了。

eg4.His book is due to be published in October.
他的书预定十月份出版。

eg5.The team's success was largely due to her efforts.
该队的成功在很大程度上是由于她的努力。

孙白杨：应该这么说，下官相信夫人你们一定会关心一些还有利用价值的棋子。至于没有利用价值的，就会弃之如旧衣履，甚至忘记。
英文字幕：Let me put it this way, I believe Madam will care about games pieces still of value. As for those which are no longer useful, it will be discarded as old shoes and maybe even forgotten.

知识点3：
棋类游戏中的棋子英文是chessman，但这里用的是引申义，翻译为chessman显然不合适。game pieces游戏中的一部分，game这个英文单词本身就不单单有简单游戏的意思。

弃之如旧衣履--discarded as old shoes，discard表示抛弃，丢弃：If you discard something, you get rid of it because you no longer want it or need it.

他被历史所抛弃。
