Interest Rate

你以前可能不知道，生活里不起眼的 Interest rate（利率）会如此重要。

对个人而言，High interest rate 会提高你的融资成本，从而阻止或推迟你买房、买车的决策；当然，High interest rate 也会鼓励你增加储蓄。

更宏观的层面上，Interest rate 会影响企业的投资决策，比如企业在高利率的经济环境中可能会推迟建设新工厂。

我们来看2个例句：

The Bank believes that a 5 percent interest rate is already high enough to return inflation to its target - and I believe this too.

银行坚信，百分之五的利率已经够高，足以让通胀返回目标区间——鄙人对此也深信不疑。

When one of his children got sick, he took a loan from a moneylender at an onerous interest rate.

当他的一个孩子生病了，他从一个放债人那里得到了一笔高利贷。
