A total of 28 Primetime Emmy Awards, especially those involving made-for-television movies and miniseries that were previously excluded from the live broadcast, will be presented live by CBS television during the Sept. 20 event, according to a report on the Dailynews website.
《每日新闻》网站报道称，美国哥伦比亚电视台将于 9 月 20 日现场直播黄金时段节目艾美奖颁奖典礼。艾美奖所有 28 个奖项都将现场直播，其中还包括原本不在此列的电视电影奖和电视系列短剧奖。
艾美奖是美国电视界的权威奖项，为什么要为电影颁奖呢？原来这个 made-for-television movie（电视电影）是 a feature film that is produced for and originally distributed by a television network（为电视制作，最初也在电视上播放的电影长片），也被称为 telemovie 或者 telefilm。文中的 miniseries 也被称为“迷你剧”，指的是篇幅较短的电视剧。
在 prime-time slot（黄金时段）播出的 long-running television series（长篇连续剧）通常 television ratings（收视率）较高，而一些观众则喜欢看 documentary film（纪录片）。一些企业还会制作 television special（专题片）来宣传企业形象。
